History
The history of Toyo Metal Powder Co., Ltd. began in Kyoto in 1876, when it was founded as a metal powder store.
Originally, Kyoto and Kanazawa have been producing gold leaf for use on buildings, arts and crafts, folding screens , sliding doors, etc. since the Edo period.
It was produced exclusively in Kyoto and Kanazawa, and the Edo Shogunate only permitted its production.
In October 1944, at the request of the Navy Technical Department at the time, Kyoto Metal Powder Co., Ltd. was established as a copper powder manufacturing plant.
After the war, we added a new gold powder factory and joined the Metal Powder Industry Association, and as one of seven companies in Japan, we have been working hard to manufacture gold powder for printing and copper powder for metallic carbon.
In September 1949, the company name was changed to Toyo Metal Powder Co., Ltd., and in November 1950, the management team and technical staff were revamped.
We started new research into industrial and chemical metal powders, and in 1966 we completed a part of the metal powder for catalytic reduction.
We have acquired a manufacturing patent for this item. As a unique entity in the domestic metal powder industry, we are currently developing new products.
We are making every effort to improve development and quality.
